Tire Pressure

What tire pressure do I need on my tires I have 245 75R 22.5's. The tires are rated at 120 pounds max I know that with my excursion they were rated at 80 PSI and I would run 60 PSI was wondering if I needed to lower down to a certain percentage. I have a 2003 Itasca 35 U Suncruiser.

Somewhere inside the coach, in a cabinet, on a wall, there should be a placard showing what size tires and what tire pressures should be as determined by the builder of your coach. It is a starting point.

You need to inflate to pressure printed on sidewall of tire until you get more info. Next weigh each wheel position and download an inflation chart for your size tire. You can then determine what pressure to carry for tires on each axle.

Do a search of this forum and there is a gazillion threads on this topic. All the best with this procedure that impacts every RVer, but not everyone does.

Note: having an accurate tire pressure gauge is a necessity. Many gauges are off by many psi.

Agree as a good starting point. It is best to get the mh weighed and then adjust tire pressure accordingly.

I had my coach weighted at the FMCA Rally in Albany,Or (4 corner wt) and I'm over wt in the rear by 1150lbs and under in the front by 730lbs. In January I got a new set of Michelin 295/80R22.5 XZA2 with a max PSI of 120lbs. With a combined wt of 33,620lbs FR 6,405lbs-FL 6,065lbs RR 10,195lbs-LR 10,955lbs I have to run 105 PSI in the front and 100 PSI in the rear. This is the only way to get a true wt reading and know what PSI to run, money well spent. Must be the way the wife packed the coach
