Tire pressure

I have a 2015 Fleetwood 28 ft. storm class A. I have Goodyear 245/70R19-5 on mh, the chart on door calls for 82 psi on front and rear tires. Do I need to stay with the chart?

Yes, but only until you weight the MH and go by the Goodyear tire pressure chart for that tire.

You shouldn't just let some out to soften the ride.

Follow the Manufacturer's guideline

The tire is designed to carry a specific load at a specific pressure. You can find the data for your Goodyear tire in this data chart;

https://www.goodyeartrucktires.com/p...v_brochure.pdf

You will want to get the RV weighed to be sure of the load. You can get a general sense of the loading at a Truckstop scale. CAT Scales are easy to use and accurate in my experience.

You can get information here:

https://weighmytruck.com/how-to-use/...RoCzAUQAvD_BwE

It is best to corner weight the RV, weight each tire (or dual set) to determine the actual weight on that axle position. This will make sure you do not overload any tire.

Here is a video that hopefully explains the details :

Margin for error on air pressure

Recently I had my CanyonStar corner weighted. This was out of curiosity thinking I had properly calculated the required tire pressure, 75F 95R as per a CAT Scale weighing.

I was surprised that even though the RV was well within GVWR each axle position had significant different loads.

As a result I increased the air pressure by 10 psi to provide adequate "cold" air pressure plus a 5 psi cushion for air temperature fluctuations, now 85F 105R. This provides adequate tire pressure for the maximum tire load, cold, and a bit of a cushion should the air temperature drop lower overnight.

See the corner weighing record attached.

Note the bottom block of data indicates your safety margin. At my calculated air pressure due to asymmetric loading the driver side tires were overloaded. Now that I have increased the air pressure to 85F 105R, the tires are within their rated load.

You're speaking of Goodyear, from their tire inflation and loading guide:
"Tire pressure should never be reduced below the vehicle manufacturer's recommended levels to support load conditions in order to improve the ride quality of a vehicle."
