Tire Pressure Equalization

I want to install a system to my MH and am looking at the Crossfire and Cats Eye systems. Anyone have any comments. Cats Eye looks like replacement parts are availible, how about Crossfire? I am also looking to install a TPMS. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I had the Catseye on my last coach and they worked fine. I also have a TMPS system available with 6 caps that I will sell for cheep like 150.00 Never used if you want it. I am at work and don't recall the make, the receiver mounts on the dash as I recall.

I have actually considered each of these systems in the past and just never pulled the trigger. I like the idea of having the pressure in my duals equalized but not too sure about it's use with a TPMS.

My thought has been that... with either dually system I assume I would mount a single TPMS sensor per pair of rear tires. As I understand it, the systems are designed to isolate a leaking tire so a leak in one won't drain the air from the good tire too. If that's the case, I'm afraid one of the duals could begin to leak, be isolated by the Crossfire/Catseye and the TPMS wouldn't know it was leaking until the dreaded loud noises began.

Maybe somebody has more direct information on this scenario and can chime in.

Well, I recently researched all of this matter and can't find my links but....one of those systems does have add on fillers which allow you to place your TPMS BEFORE the equalizer, this allows you to use the TPMS and equalizer. The TPMS lets you basically see what your pressures are whereas the equalizer will isolate the leaking unit after a given drop in pressure. I'll try and look around to see which one it was but it is possible to use both. Just call each company and ask them about a dealer who handles your style of TPMS, they will hook you up.

That's good to hear but I wonder how they work. Please post if you find those links.

I believe it was Dual Dynamics Crossfire that offers the add on valves.

I would contact Dual Dynamics DD yourself and ask them which vendor they recommend for your specific TPMS. It does matter.
