tire pressure for tag axle

I have a 08 beaver contessa with a tag axle. Should the tire pressure for the tag axle tires be the same as the other tires? Thanks in advance.

It would be best if you could get individual axle weights (fully loaded for travel) and then refer to the tire manufacturers charts, adding 5 to 10 lbs to allow for possible weight differences side to side. (Individual weights, on each side of each axle would be even better. In that case, use the pressure dictated for the tire with the highest load for both sides). It is entirely possible that the tires on each individual axle may require different pressure for maximum comfort and performance.

I have to run the minimum tire pressure in my tag axle on my 44'. For example I run 110 lbs in the steer axle, 100 lbs in the drive axles and 85 lbs in my tag. I also run 40 lbs in my tag axle pressure system.

Sorry JMonroe but you NEVER run different pressures in two tires on the same axle that is dangerous and can effect handling of the MH. If weighing the individual corners you find one side is heavier than the other you put the highest pressure required in all tires an that axle. There are all kinds of warning my major tire companies and at RV seminars telling you to keep the pressures the same for all tires on an axle.

That's OK "Gunner". The big noise those guns made may have diminished your 'hearing' a bit.
