I used to be a Pressure Pro distributor and dealer. When it came time to replace the sensors I bought a TST 507 system instead. The Magna we just bought has the Smartire system built in but the company is out of the RV industry so when the batteries die I'll put the TST system on.

Since you used to be a distributor for Pressure Pro and switching to TST. What didn't you like about Pressure Pro or what is better about TST?

Well discussed subject. This is what I use and I have been using this system for many years. I currently have the newest that has the flow through valve stems and replaceable batteries. The company is first rate in their service as well.

There are quite a few on the market that work okay, but the attitude of this particular company is first rate when it comes to replacements and service.

I have been using the TST 507 for 3 yrs and I love it. It has flow thru sensors and the user can change the batteries with out sending them back. The accuracy is excellant.

TST 507 Flow Thru -

Personally, I didn't like the flow-through sensors and just swapped them for the traditional type. For my >100psi tires I found the flow rate to be frustratingly slow.

I have the EEZE TPMS as well. I did some comparisons and two things were influential in my decision besides the good reviews. First, if you have low or high pressure alarms go off, it actually spells out the problem rather than simply showing a symbol which you have to figure out while driving with other systems I looked at. My fear is the alarm would be infrequent enough that I would have to drag out the manual to figure out what the alarm is. My wife can even read the alarm on the EEZE display. Second, the display was a bit bigger.

If I need to add a lot of air I simply remove them, air up, and replace them.

That's what I was doing, also, but removal with the tiny Allen key seemed a lot more awkward than using the little metal wrench on the regular ones. To each his own; use what you are comfortable with.

I took the 'locks' off the sensors and have not looked back. When I need to add air I don't have a tool to go looking for.

hello, would u tell me what "r towd" is? i am a new MH owner, and new to this site. trying to learn what i need to know. thank you. p.s. have had our MH home (2003 tiffin allegro 26IA) all of 2 days and finding that it will be difficult to keep watch on tire pressure. a system sounds good. thanks. kayb.

"r towd" is quite obviously "our towed vehicle" (the vehicle we tow behind our motorhome). Also sometimes called a toad!

What is often overlooked about TPMS systems is that their greatest value may be the ability to know if the towed vehicle has a flat. There are some classic horror stories about motorhome owners who drove for hours without realizing they were dragging their towed vehicles because of flats or other issues.

I bought a pressure pro system in 2002 I believe it was. The first few years it was flawless the last 8 not so much, we had misreads or failure to report pressures so they told us we probably needed new seals. That didn't help any so we started replacing sensors which at the time were on $25 on exchange, they because just as unreliable. I am dumping the system and going to try something else. I did try the hawks head system from Canada, it was no better. :(
