tire protectant
Just bought new tires and was wondering if any of you use tire protectant / shine on your tires, or just gently clean them and let them go?--Vince--I know some of the products contain petroleum products

Tire covers while parked over one week, and 303 every time it gets washed. I only spray clean tires. Last set of tires replaced summer 2012 tire date was 2005. Tire company commented on how good they looked. They were not weather checked.

I Hate to sound ignorant but what is 303? I keep the tire covers on when it's parked and not being used.

Michelin used to say only 303, then they brought out their own product (Tire Shine) which most of us think is rebranded 303 and said only use it, not even 303. Now the Tire Shine doesn't seem to be available anymore and Michelin says not to use anything and just wash with soap, water and a brush.

Here is a link to 303 Products, I've been a huge fan for many
years. I use it exclusively for many surfaces, including all vinyl
surfaces that are routinely touched or sat on. It contains no
silicones, and is a good UV protector. I use it on my TPO roof
and on the front Diamond Shield vinyl.
However, I do prefer Amorall for tires.
303® Products are the leading line of premium protectants and cleaners on the market today

The product is 303 Aerospace Protectant, it's recommended by many manufacturers to protect the finish of their products; Sunbrella material used in awnings and boat covers and Dicor recommends it for their rubber RV roofing product. Here's a link to their website: 303® Products You can buy it at Walmart and Amazon.

303 is a spray that is used to protect against UV. I have used it for a long time, and it does seem to help. If you do a search you will find folks have a lot of uses for it.

303 is great for tires, slide seals, all vinyl and leather surfaces in your coach.
Many buy it by the gallon.

I have used (once) Black Magic Pro Shine Protectant. It says it has Petroleum Middle Distillates with UV blockers. It says to not use it on the tread of tires. (Makes them slippery). How much damage could it do to a tire in 7-8 years if the tires are covered and it is only used a couple of times, like before a trip?
