I run hundreds of them here in Australia on my trucks. Hadn't thought of using them on the motorhome.

I wish I could have afforded new Goodyear G670RV, but at 500 per tire, no way!

My problem is that Hankook didn't make an F tire in my 19.5 size, but if they had and the price was 1/3 less I'd have sure bought them!

I am about to leave Australia to go pick up this new to me motorhome
I'm about to pick up the phone to ring TCI tires in Jackson MS which is near the coach
The coach tires are apparently original at 05 so don't want to risk it
I'm going to order 2 315 80.22.5 for the steer and 6 295 .80 all XZE energy 2
Can someone confirm that the 315 is the way to go on the steer and will fit without rubbing or am I being silly and should I just put 295.80 all round
The coach is right up at the weight limits on the steer for 295's

No tires in Mississippi or Louisianna so it's off to Texas with 05 tires on a coach that I suspect hasn't turned a wheel for some time
So Hwy 20 west bound if you see a broken down coach towing a Subbi It will be an old digger.
If its not broke it ll be going slow

Bridgestone and only Bridgestone. Used Michelins they sidewall cracked. Used Goodyears and they riverwore (irregular wearing) My MH to me is not worth risking on non major brand tire.

I, too, am in the market for RV tires. A friend of mine runs a business where he runs several semi's so he has a good relationship with a tire company by his factory, who was supposed to give me a fair quote. Well, after explaining to him that Michelin makes a RV specific tire he quotes him $600/tire, could this be accurate?

Regarding the RV specific Michelins are there several models to choose from or is it just one model?

Looking at their XRV line the closest tire size for my coach is a 255/80R22.5, my coach uses 255/70R22.5.......is it safe to say this would be the ideal match or should I look for only that specific size???

Those of you who have used the Hankook tires, is there a specific model?

255/80R and 255/70R are not the same height tire. You will be off on your speedometer, because the 80s will be taller than the 70s. they will probably have an impact on the handling of your coach IMHO. There are many choices for 255/70R/22.5 tires. You should be able to find other thasn micheline tires without to o much of a problem.

Just got 6 Michelins throught the FMCA/Michelin program. Pricing is on the FMCA website. 235 80R 22.5 XRV for $378.52 plus mounting, balancing, stems and disposal fee ($409.91)

Go on FMCA website and get the charge to number. Call Michelin and register your credit card with them. You will need to supply FMCA member number with expiration date.

Find authorized Michelin dealer in your area, give them all the info and they will invoice Michelin who will then charge your CC with the net amount. I saved almost $550 on the total.

Steve, I may have missed it but what floor plan is on the coach you are buying. I was going to put the 315's on the steer on my 05 dynasty diamond iv (four slides) 42' tag. There was not enough clearance between the air bag plates and the tires when making a turn. I had less than 1/2" and did not want to risk it. I went with the 295's Michelins and have been very happy with both the ride and the condition so far. (2 years). I do keep them covered when not in use. Good luck on that trip.

New term to me. "Steer Tires". Do they in fact build special tires for the steering axle?

How are "Steering Tires" identified?
