Tire stem valve
Had new tires recently installed and one of the valve stems is mounted to high preventing inflation or checking tire pressure. Returning to the installer is not an option at this time. I’ve never had this issue before and assume its a matter is screwing the valve into the stem. Simple tool is available. My concern is if the valve was cross threaded during install will I risk breaking the valve and losing all air in the tire?
Minor issue with major ramifications. Thoughts?

If this is on a MH rim if it's like mine the stem has a nut fitting on the stem side with a rubber seal washer, on the inside of the rim will be another rubber washer seal and a nut. So to change the stem you need to break the tire bead from the rim and reach inside to get to the inside nut.

You mean the valve core, right? I would have it checked at a truck/RV/tire repair facility. Don't take any more chances. Hopefully it's just the wrong core. Take pictures and contact the installer and let them know, they may help you on their dime.

Yes, the inner valve tip (the valve the permits air to enter/exit)sticks out maybe 3/16’s versus being flush or slightly below the stem top.

Sounds like you mean the core. ..get the tool and try to tighten it, if it's tight don't force it... take it to a tire shop and have a new valve stem put on

Yes, try to tighten first. If you want to change it, I did it by first supporting the axle with the Jacks so if I had a problem the coach wouldn’t settle on the deflated tire. Then I removed the core and put in the new one while the air was rushing out. Then re-inflate the tire.
Got a feeling it is just loose as the dimensions are fairly standard. Also, if you are running equal powder, the core may be a filter core and they require a proper amount of straight valve stem to install correctly.

The core should screw in easily using the little tool designed for that. If it doesn't, get to a tire shop and have them replace the valve stem.
