Question Tires discounts in central Florida?

I'm shopping for 4 x 295/80R22.5 LRH tires in central Florida. Can anybody suggest where I might get the best prices? We are near Ocala, but coud drive a ways to get a good discount.

Currently have GY G670s, but am looking at Bridgestone and Continental for a less expensive but still good quality tire. Would consider other brands if they had that size.

Give Barry Hamton at Josam's in Orlando a call and see what he can do for you. If he can't help you, try Boulevard Tire in Deland, FL.

Gary, I think you will have a hard time finding tires available from Bridgestone, IMO very comparable to Michelin. They have a tremendous back order problem right now. Medium truck tires (all brands) are in very short supply among the commercial dealers here in CA. I believe it is the same across the country. Conti out here seems to have a slightly better supply, albeit still low stock levels.

Good luck in your search.

I've got an email request into Boulevard Tire for a quote on some of their brands.

Haven't been advised of any shortage of Bridgestones here in the East and I know a few folks who have bought them in the last 3 months in the fairly unusual size I need. Supply depends largely on the size you need - any given size/model of tire may be readily available or back-ordered.

Will check with Josam's - didn't know they sold tires.

Gary,
Check with Costco. Costco - RV Tires Now Available on Costco.com
They still show RV 22 inch sizes can be ordered thru them. I did this last year for mine. Got them in less then a week when all other sources told me they were not easily found.

Where are you seeing 22.5' sizes? I see only 16" on that Costco page.

Gary,
Using the link I showed in previous post , read to the bottom of that web page where it shows another link to: "Click Here for additional RV and large truck tire size and maintenance information" That link will bring you to the Michelin catalog of tires available to Costco ordering including all the 22.5s

I guess I did it the hard way. I went to the store. A week later I was the proud owner of one month old tires.

That's not a Costco RV tire catalog. That links takes me to the Michelin RV Tire Guide, which covers every RV-suitable tire that Michelin makes. I guess you are saying Costco can order anything that Michelin makes and that is good to know.

Gary, That is close to what I was saying. When I went to the store, They essentially did the same look up of the tires available from Michelin and their pricing and availability. Very easy way to buy. I was planning to have them(costco) roll the tires into my RV aisle way. But was able to borrow my sons' utility trailer. They staked them up for me. Made an appointment at a local trucking and tire service for R&R&balancing at $50/wheel.

Gary,

I stopped by GCR Tire Centers in Fort Pierce a few weeks back to price some Hankook AH12's for my 98 Eagle.

Give GCR a call at 772-423-8404.

This is a heavy truck and farm tire store with very easy in and out. Nice people as well.

For my 275/70R/22.5's I was quoted $320 per tire mounted and balance plus freight out the door.

I have read nothing but good things about the AH12's on a MH.

I have a quote from GCR in Ocala, but they seemed much more expensive then when I checked 18 months ago. $2448 for 4 Bridgestone R250's and $2255 for Continentals (out the door, mount, balance, tax). I think I can get GY or Michelin for that price.

Hankook doesn't seem to have a 295/80 tire.
