TireTraker with booster question

Does anyone know how to tell if the signal booster is working? I have the hard-wired unit but it doesn't have any indicators on it, and there isn't an icon for it on the receiver. Thanks!
Bob

About the only way I can think of to test is to move the receiver out-of-range with the booster off, then turn on the booster and observe if the range is extended. The difference should be quite noticeable. This method works with my Tire Minder system; with the booster off I go out of range about 20-30' from the RV but turn on the booster and I get solid reception even inside my house.

That's what I thought too. Only problem is i can take the receiver 2 blocks away with the booster off and it still shows data (no doubt old data) because it is in sleep mode. How do you get it to wake up to recognize you are out of range?

It looks like TireTraker and TireMinder are the same units, so we have the same system. The display will show '---' if it hasn't received a signal from the sensor in something like 10 or 20 minutes so if you are out of range and wait that long then that's what you should see. Then power up the booster and wait a similar amount of time (for the sensor to report) and you should see a pressure reading. The booster makes a huge difference.
