I'm in the process of buying 1995 Monaco Crown Royal (completely rebuilt by the Navstar Co in Indiana). I've got a lot of questions but I'll start with asking if I'll have problems using a Jeep Grand Cherokee (4400lbs) as a toad. The engine of this new rig is a 400hp Cummings Pusher. Any thoughts?

I towed a Grand Cherokee for years and just traded it today for a new Equinox.

I had a '97 Discovery with the 275 cummins and it towed great....could barely tell it was there. Now I have a '07 Expedition with 300 cat and still it is hardly noticeable back there.

You should have no problems whatsoever.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

I'm not familiar with that particular coach, but I towed a Grand Cherokee for 30000 miles with my 400 ISL Cummins with no problems at all. I didn't know it was there.

We towed a '97 GC for years with no trouble with a 350/1050 ISC Cummins, although I did add a Banks kit later (435/1200 now).
Now we tow a Honda Odyssey on a dolly and that weighs more than a GC four down.

I'm still towing a 2002 Grand Cherokee with my 350 Cat Diesel. Haven't had a problem. I used to tow it with my 2000 Cummins 270 also. Never had a problem.

Welcome to the forum. You shouldn't have any problem. I've towed alot more with a smaller engine (CAT C7 350). Enjoy your coach.
