Today is the day

Well after lots of planning, taking semi-retirement and flying over from the UK 10 days ago today is the day we hit the road.
We have purchased a Winnebago brave 34', a dolly and a Toyota Rav4 , we pick it up today from lamesa Sandford and driving down to Orlando or lake magic RV resort. So if anyone sees 3 brits stood around their rv scratching their heads........that will be us. :-)

We are here for 6 months, we will be going down to the keys, then heading north as far as the Blue ridge mountains before heading down to new orleans then flying back to the uk from Houston in September.

Just park in your campsite. As you say scratch your head. Someone in site beside you will be there to help.

Now sometimes even when you don't need help. Ha.

If that don't work. Just post on here and answers be heading your way.

Enjoy our great country. Welcome.

If you plan to be in the area of Hilton Head Island, send me a PM. I can help you with a great place to stay.

The "RV Camping Forum" part of IRV-2 has lots of great reading as to things to see.

Just post a question as to what direction you wish to travel this week and you will get many responses.

Have a great time, you should have plenty of time to enjoy the sites considering the areas you intend to travel. If you are up to the Blue Ridge Parkway there are several historic sites in the general area and also take the time to visit the Smokey Mountain National Park. If possible you should drop down and visit the Biltmore in Ashville TN, probably the closest thing the US has to a castle.

Good Luck

Welcome, hope you have a great visit. Been a while since we've been in the UK, but we loved it. Met lots of great people.

Happy camping,

Dave
