If you use single ply and double it to prevent penetration, does it become 2 ply?

Happy Camper - Odorless Holding Tank Treatment Black and Grey Water
Another vote for Happy Campers chemical. That stuff dissolves EVERYTHING! It's totally safe (you can eat it) and if you buy the largest container it is FAR less expensive than any other product that will do the job!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

We use no black tank chemicals and use the same, thick as pillows, soft on the tush, TP we use at the stick and brick. No problems in seven years of traveling six months at a time and always using our own toilet.

There IS a simple test:

Grab a handful of TP and some Windex, and attempt to wash a window. If you succeed, DON'T put that paper in your tank!

You will like the Pure Power Blue product. It breakers down all the solid waste and eliminates the smell. Use what ever toilet paper you want using PPB and forget it. Look it up on YouTube.

We use Charmin from Costco, no problems in three years.

Reason for RV TP

I thought the reason to use RV TP was to prevent it from hanging up on the liquid level sensors and causing false readings.

That and clogging when emptying the tank is what you will hear. Just use Angle Soft. Most of it says on the side septic safe and that has worked well for us and isn't flimsy. Tried Northern quilted once, what we use in the house, and watching it drain scared me.

As already posted, to test the TP take one or two sheets of any brand you like put it in a half glass of water. Cover the glass with your hand and shake it a few times. If the TP falls apart it is safe to use in the black tank. If it doesn't fall apart right away try another brand. Over ten years of RVing never have use the RV TP, never had a problem.

The real problem is some toilet paper can and will stop up the tank valve and that is something you,do not want to deal with while trying to dump your tanks.
