Toilet Paper

I saw someone post one of the forums here that the newer Macerator toilets are more sensitive to the paper used and the poster ended up pulling his toilet to un-clog the paper from the grinder. Doesn't sound fun to me!

Use what ever you use at home. This not a septic tank. It is just a holding tank. We use charmin ulta soft at hom ena in the rv.We have never had any problems dumping. Use plenty of water so nothing dries out in your holding tank. When you dump use plenty of water to flush the tank. After flushing put about 4 or 5 gallons of water in the tank.

Trying to figure this out. We spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on a coach and then try to save 10 cents per roll on toilet paper ????

Has very little to do with cost, more to do with time spent draining and cleaning black tank, unless you meant that as a joke then your right, it's funny.

We have used both the Kirkland Brand sold at Costco and the Member's Mark sold at Sam's Club. We also use Baby Wipes unless we need to use our portable macerator.

I have never ever been close to a clog or a problem. I must have the best toilet and black tank ever installed in a coach.

Amen! We've used the "tissue" paper for septic tanks, hate it! We are Charmin people, with plenty of water! Then again, we are the couple that uses most water when boondocking?...

Scott Extra Soft is the best RV toilet paper in my opinion. Using the break-down test in water, it dissolves almost immediately. Can't go wrong here. I've attached a picture of the package...

Well, any paper might stick/dry on any obstacle if one does not use adequate flushing water to keep any/all solids covered with liquid in the tank. That is the "secret" to avoiding holding tank issues - plenty of water in the tank. I haven't used any type of holding tank product for many years, I just use plenty of water. I've never had an issue with my holding tanks.
