Toilet sticks

I have a Sealand 511+ toilet in my MH. When pulling up the foot pedal to fill the bowl the pedal sticks in the up position. I would like to replace the nylon/ plastic half ball that the handle rocks on but can't find one on line without buying the whole vacuum valve assembly. I would like to find a good lubricant to put on the half ball. I have dried WD40 silicone - didn't work. I have taken the handle off and can find no marks - The same for the half ball.
Thanks Tom

I had some of the same issues. I took the toilet apart and cleaned the gasket but it did not last. I finally bought the parts and replaced them, all is well now. There was so much crud built up around the ball it did not have a chance to work correctly.
Replacing the ball was not that easy for me. I am sure that there is a secret to it. I ended up putting a screw into the old one to get it out of the toilet. Then, I put electrical tape around the new one to avoid dropping it into the tank. Good luck.

my toilet was running water last week so i took out the valve and bought the same item from camping world for $26. like this SeaLand Toilet Water Valve Kit - Dometic 385314349 - Toilet Accessories - Camping World

during the installation, because it had a spring tension i had to wiggle a little so to thread the bolts on. overall, not too bad a job.
