Tool for reaching awning knobs

I have a 2004 Gulfstream Sunvoyager and the awning is so high that I cannot reach the knobs without getting the ladder out. Being 78 I don't climb as well as I used to. So I thought someone would make a tool for reaching these knobs to tighten and loosen them, but so far I haven't been able to find any. Can anyone help me with this problem. Being short even when the awning is all the way down the knobs are still several feet above where I can reach.

I have been thinking about your problem. If you modify your awning procedure. After you pull the awing out pull the pin or latch from your leg that is attached to the RV and set it on the ground . You should now be able to reach the knobs. Then either put them back on the RV or on the ground with a stake. Good luck, let us know if it works for you
