Torx Fasteners American Coach

Question......

We have a 2010 American Allegiance that utilizes allot of Torx fasteners. I need to remove an access panel every now and then to get to things...but it seems like the Torx Screws they use are a size between 15 & 20.......meaning 15 is too small and 20 to large.

I don't believe they make a 17.5 Torx.....

Anyone have any experience with these fasteners - maybe know EXACTLY what size these are?

Try a metric 3.27mm it that is a bit bigger than the t15. There are no other variants but that should work.

It is not a Torq screw - it is a double-square (Roberts) screw. A standard #2 Roberts (square) drive bit will fit them.

The double square is simply two single squares superimposed, with the second offset 45 degrees from the first. That makes it quicker for the assembler to line up the bit with the screw head.

I have always known the Square hole screw as a Robertson screw. What is a Roberts screw? Do you know where I can get a picture of one?

Also, there is only one size grouping for Torxs of T1 thru T100. The same series of Torx drivers is used to drive SAE, metric and other thread system fasteners. A T15 is a 3.27 mm head Torx

They sell the square screwdrivers at Home Depot. They have two sizes. My MH uses the smaller of the two.
