towing capicity

i recently purchased a 1996 sea breeze 129 with 454. i want to get a trailer and cannot find the towing capacity. i am also looking fro a manual for this rig. can any body help??

There should be a sticker on the wall right by the drivers seat. It should list the GCVW. That is the gross combined vehicle weight. Deduct the Gross vehicle weight from that. That gives you the towing cap.

See if there's a weight rating tag on the hitch. If you have no GCWR rating indicated anywhere else (not unheard of in '96), use the rating on the hitch.

If you can't find anything anywhere, I might be tempted to use 3500 for a max. - assuming no heavy corrosion in the area of the hitch?
