Cool Toyo M144 tires

Just ordered 8 Toyo M144 295/80R-22.5 tires from Cheap Tires Online | Find the Best Deals on Tires | SimpleTire.com for our Travel Supreme. With a 5% military discount (active, retired, vets), the total cost of the tires, including FET and shipping (Ohio) was $3470.62. The installation quote is $320 ($40/tire). Total installed cost will be $3790.62. I just couldn't justify the Michelins and most reviews of the Toyo's are quite positive.

Sounds like a bargain for 8 tires.

I've been riding on Michelins for over 30 years. Two week a go I bought 6 Michelin Size 235/80R 22.5 XRV from Pete's Tires using the FMCA Advantage Tire Program for $2,673.52 (Fed & State taxes incl).
Labor was $510.00 ($85 per tire included everything, mounting, balance, new s/s stems, and getting rid of old tires etc).
Grand Total $3,183.52

I just had toyo tires put on monday 245/75R22.5 M154 6 of them total cost $2563.57 tires mounting balance stems these were a replacement for michelin 235/80R22.5 after the last zipper tear and the cost of michelin tires I wont buy them again. And all the positive reviews for toyo tires and price was a easy decision to change.

That seems like a killer price. I was quoted $3900 for 6 OTD...I will definitely check out Simple Tire!

How do you make sure you are getting good recent date codes on tires ordered online?

Did they happen to give you a date code on the tires? I'm looking also-thanks for the info, seems like a good price.

I put 6 Toyo M144 on my MH 2 years ago. I dont remember what I payed for them. I did have balancing beads put in them and they ride smooth. Have about 8,000 miles on them and like them. Make sure they remove all lead weights if you use balancing beads I found 4 lead weights that they left on 2 rims so I removed them myself.

It seems no one wants to discuss the DOT dates...

I don't know what the DOT dates will be, but I'll post it when I have the tires put on the 30th of this month. I won't see them until then as they are being shipped directly to the installer. Simple Tire is in PA and the tires are shipping from a warehouse in NC. Maybe I'm too much of an optimist, but I suspect they will be dated as recently as they would be no matter where you bought them from. Versus the price of Michelins, I figure I have little to lose.

It's hard to find out the date codes until you get them if you have to order them. I got mine three years ago and had to wait till early OCT. to get them because the company was out of them and didn't make a production run until then. When I got my tires they where a week old.

I see they have a phone number with that link to simple tire If they are the ones that stock them I'm sure they can give the date codes of the tires. I bought mine from a local tire shop and they called the warehouse and asked what the date codes were before I bought them and they were three months old for 5 of them and 4 months old for the 6th
