Tried asking this in other tire threads, but never did get any real responses.

Would like to know your experiences and/or feelings about Toyo tires. My Michelins have been great, but Les Schwab quotes a good price and talks a good story about Toyos. Then I read where someone has replaced them, got a better ride, or some other benefit. How do you like them, and why?

Appreciate any good info you can provide.

I run Toyo tires on all my vehicles except the MH. I have been very satisfied with the Toyo's and Schwabby. I will have to think long and hard about dumping the Michelins on the MH when it becomes time. Don't know if I am ready to make that move in that size tire.

In doing the research for replacement tires for my MH, I learned several things;

50% of the people responding love Michelin's and would not have anything else.
50% of the people responding hate Michelin's and would never have another one.
50% of the people say they have softer rubber and ride better.
50% of the people say they have softer rubber and wear out faster
50% of the people say they are great for steer tires
50% of the people say they are horrible for rears
50% of the people say they have a irregular wear pattern
50% of the people say they have never had an irregular wear pattern

50% of the people responding love Goodyear G670RVs and would not have anything else.
50% of the people responding hate Goodyear G670Rvs and and would never have another one.
50% of the people say they have harder rubber and ride harsh.
50% of the people say they have harder rubber and wear longer
50% of the people say they are horrible for steer tires
50% of the people say they are great for rears
50% of the people say they have a irregular wear pattern (rivering)
50% of the people say they have never had an irregular wear pattern

50% of the people responding love TOYOs and would not have anything else.
50% of the people responding hate TOYOs and and would never have another one.
50% of the people say they have a low weight rating.
50% of the people say they just go larger for a better weight rating
50% of the people say they are horrible for steer or rear tires
50% of the people say they are great for rears or steer tires
50% of the people say they have a irregular wear pattern

100% of the people responding have had a problem with one or more brands and hate them and think you will have the exact same problem because is is characteristic of the brand

100% of the people responding have had no problem with one or more brands and love them and think you will not have any problems either because that is characteristic of the brand.

What I have learned is that there are so many variables to performance such as MH weight, over/under inflation, tread pattern, tire weight rating, balance, wheels, heat and the phases of the Moon that you can't trust what anybody else tells you about their experience as being gospel.

Then again, I have just told about what I have learned and you can not take that as Gospel!

I have Toyo's on my '98 38ft Safari Serengeti, and like them just fine. No problems, they run smooth and quiet.
They are due to be replaced next year and I plan to again purchase Toyo's.
Current set of six, 9R x 22.5 purchased in '04 in Idaho at Les Schwab for less than $2000 total, out the door. My experience is all positive and therefore, recommend Toyo's.

After looking at the TOYO site and some of their dealer sites, can't see where they recommend their tires for MH use.

Thanks for the input. Love the description. I assume you meant they ride good, which sounds good to me, but must confess, never heard of them. Two questions:

Where are they available?
Reasonably priced? (I assume that has something to do with why you're running them.)
