TPMS sensor issue

I have nine of ten sensors working correctly, but both of my rear inner tires gave me problems.

When I screwed the sensors on the tires, I heard a puff of air as each of them engaged. The inner tires gave no such indication.

At the suggestion of a tire dealer, I bought short extensions, then screwed on the sensors. It worked for a short time on both inner tires. Now, a few weeks later, one of them won't engage again.

I can't even check the inner tires with a pressure gauge. I'm beginning to think that the tire stems may be the issue.

The user manual usually gives info on adjusting the depth of the dill valve if necessary, it might be your issue.

A couple thoughts.

1. If you have extensions then it could be a balancing act of valve core adjustment on both valve cores. I've had to do that a couple times in the past.

2. Get rid of the extensions and use one piece valve stems. Dually Valve Stems are great for eliminating extensions that, from personal experience, have or will leak. This also eliminates the problems that can occur with 2 valve cores.
