How are enclosed trailer sizes rated? Interior size or tail to tongue or outside box size?

Usually exterior box length.

As an example, for my trailer which is a Pace Shadow Cargo Trailer, it came with a 26 foot box. It has two 6,000 lb axles, 12,000 GVW and only a 4 foot tongue. So the total length is 30 foot from rear to ball socket.

Not sure what they do for the V-Nose trailers.

Here's my rig.

Thanks Richard. Mine measures 20' to where the curve at the nose starts. There is a 202X6K in the vin and it was sold to me as a 20'. It's a 7k GVWR. My tongue is only 3 1/2'

Nothing like a pontoon boat for space, I use one down in Florida in the shallow water and you can really explore with it.

I congratulate you on spelling Glenn right (with two n's, glen with one n is a pleasant valley)
