If the terrain allows I leave my trailer hooked when parked. If leveling requires I disconnect.

I've pulled our old 2010 Yukon, my 79 Bronco and now pull our SRX in it. Huge difference in how it pulled with the big Yukon inside compared to the little Cadillac.

My motorhome is 40', the trailer is 25 plus the tongue putting me just under 70'.

Is it necessary to unhook to level coach seen some other post stating they do??

It isn't necessary to disconnect to level but in some circumstances the angle of the trailer to motorhome require it.

Kinda what I was thinking if it is that severe I would think it's not a good spot to start with and move!

Yes its an ISL. Trailer is 21k and the coach works great. Honestly the trailer toad makes it so you dont feel it because of no toungue weight on the coach. It can't help me on the steep grades though LOL. It acutally is not too bad on the grades. Coming from Seattle to So Cal the slowest I went was 40mph through the passes.

Yep 40mph is it. Its just a stock isl 400. Goes real fast down the otherside though...lol

I think u missed the gist of my post.U say u can go 40MPH pulling 21000 lbs and less HP than I have and yet I can on;ly go about the same speed without adding in 21000 lbs

I got it. I was just having fun with it. I thought it was a little silly you were questioning it. Maybe yours is down on power?

Torque is what pushes us up the hill. If I am not mistaken the 450 and the 400 put out 1250 ft/lbs.

Here it is... The paint guys were supposed to color match the charcoal color, but somewhere in the Texican Spanglish translation, they color matched the black. Close enough.....
