Here is a newer picture of our rig from a recent trip to Moab. I don't think I have posted this one up before.

On that video he says he's going to haul two UTV's, end to end. Three axles seems odd to me too. Oh well.

IMO there may be an issue with the proposal to carry a propane tank in the cabinet. Not sure what the regulations are but doubt carrying the tank in the cabinet is acceptable.

Three axles would balance her out a bit better as I do have a lot of tongue weight but in the end I am glad I didn't go with three axles.

Just curious why 22' triple axle? Are they 5200 pound axles?

Mike.
I just like the look of triple, to me they pull easier... I went with 5200 lb axels.. but rated the trailer at 9500..with e rated tires you can put 80lb of air.. the tires run cooler... less blow outs..

Keep up the good work and keep us posted! As far as the propane tanks, my extra 20# tanks are in my basement............Never thought about putting them in the trailer...........I see no reason why you could not put them in the trailer not much different than riding out front on a tongue Like all bumper pulls.

I approve of your reasoning, might have gone with a lighter axle with the triples for a smoother ride.

You would still have had plenty of capacity.

I use "E" load rage tires also

Yes, Portal in their south (Resort) section. They now have 5 of those large monstrosities that they call Casitas along the southeast property line. We generally stay along the northwest border so we are not right next to them.

However, this last trip to Moab they almost didn't let us stay in the resort section because they have a ten year rule and our coach is now 12 years old. I talked to the owner this last trip because we stay there 3-4 times a year and he allowed us to stay in the resort section because our coach "appeared to be in good condition" but I don't know how long they will allow that. The owners of the sites in the resort section have put together a pretty strict set of guidelines and they seem to be adhering to them.

When we went to Moab two weeks ago, we just flat-towed the Jeep so we actually could have fit in the north section (campground section) pretty easily. I don't think they have any sites long enough for the coach and trailer combined in their campground section. That is one of the reasons why we like the resort section but we don't use the swimming pool, hot tubs or restrooms so there really is no other reason to spend $5.00 more a night and stay in the resort section if we are not towing the trailer.

We have stayed @ Spanish Trail once before as we were traveling to Durango just as a stopping point. It was nice but kinda far out of town, but for traveling through it worked out great.

Mike.
