and a blast from those will do??

by cut you off, you mean get into your lane in front of you before leaving a lot of room? or actually making you swerve to keep from being hit?

Does this happen often?

Are drivers really that inconsiderate in CA?

Its more of a case when lanes end from say 4 to 3 lanes and there is always someone come racing up the right side to jump in front of us and traffic is backing up because people are letting each other merge then they hammer the breaks because they didnt realize people are slowing down and then you get that PUCKER in the seat of your pants because your on the brakes hard ..... Or when they pull out infront of you from a cross street so these shall get their attention

Talking more than just attention

Mavric,
Me thinks you might get more than their attention.... I'm guessing that besides the yellow line in the road in front of you, you might have a brown one too

I wish I had those, instead I bought a dash camera to record events out the front.

They are. I wintered there for five months. It is amazing what you see.

Then there is the poor freeway design. Short, combined on and off ramps, lanes appearing and disappearing with no warning. Left exits. People driving 45 when every one else is driving 70. Towed vehicles limited to 55mph. Hit and run. I thought Boston, DC and Chicago were bad.

Might want to check to see if there is a noise ordnance in your town or state. Or just be careful not to blast those horns when a LEO is around. No sense getting a ticket or even have your time wasted explaining things on the side of the road.

The air horns on our MH have a switch to turn them on/off. I shut them off when in the city. Not as impressive as your train horns I'm sure but loud enough to get attention.

Not a good idea to blast them a a bunch of Hells Angels

You may be heard better.
You will not change their driving habits.

I like leaving 5 car lengths between me and the vehicles I follow.

They figure they can merge 6 vehicles in that space!

Be careful in AL if you come our way. Train horns are illegal in AL. I found that out when I was looking into them for grandson's HS graduation. Big ticket!
