Trans warning light

I tried this in the Monaco forum but no nibbles...

For starters on our 92 Crown Signature 40 footer, I think I have a ground problem and I have checked all dash connections and cleaned all of the ground terminals on the outside firewall.

The issue I am having is the occasional beeping and flashing of the of dash yellow "check transmission" light. I thought I solved the issue by removing and cleaning the large pin terminal on the back of the shifter pad. Then the problem returned with the beep along with the tach dropping out at the same time. This happens when I hit bumps and also whenever I start or turn off the generator both sitting still and driving. Could there be a ground cable at the generator that feeds the firewall ground as well?
By the way...still never found a safe on the coach, did they make a signature without one?
I'm all ears guys

Questions only.

Allison transmission ? 3060 series ? 4000 Series?
Have you cleaned the connections at the transmission , main connector and speed sensors? Trans control module ?

MT647 Allison...great question, I have not cleaned anything other than firewall & dash ground connections as well as the multi pin connectors under the shift pad. I will clean the connectors at the transmission this weekend but I have focused on a front end ground issue since the yellow light and beep always comes on when i hit the start and stop button on the generator (which is in the front of the coach). The tach acts up at the same time. It just seems like a momentary ground loss.

OR; a drop in power to the dash due to a poor power connection somewhere.
Does your gen set start from the chassis battery or the coach battery?

Coach battery, all batteries are brand new and connections at the battery are perfect. In addition the checking the connections that you suggested, I plan to check positive and ground connections at the generator this weekend when I change the oil and filters in it.

I don't know how Monaco does their main cable wiring , between the batteries and the front of the coach. On my Freightliner chassis, both the chassis and coach battery cables that run from the battery tray, behind the right rear duals, to the front of the coach have 135 amp fuses in them to protect the cable run from shorts should the insulation be damaged. These fuses are with-in three feet of the battery terminals and I believe they are a code requirement. So could be another spot to look for a bad connection.
