Transform dinette in bunk bed
Just sharing my last project...
In a class A we are kind of short in beds, we are 5 (2 adults 3 boys) so I have built a bunk bed that can be dismantled or assembled in 2 minutes.
It's made of 4 parts (note that I still have the guard to make) all of which stores neatly away in the bedroom.
Picture of dinette before going to bed ...
After.. Time to bed

I'm wondering how it all stays put? Is there something not showing in the pictures that holds it all in place?
I'm thinking maybe the addition of some swiveling bars, attached to the risers that swing down and keep the new parts from falling off the existing dinette might work, if you don't have another solution. Maybe only needed on the side that isn't up against a wall.

Love it, Great job. I could have kept our C and added your bunk design and not payed the big bucks for the diesel pusher bunkhouse! NOT! Love our Coach and the full side slide as well as the drivability.

That coffee maker is taking a one way trip to the garbage can
We only take espresso so that thing is not required and the hole left will be used for spice storage or something of that nature

To answer your question start by looking at the 1st picture (the before one) you will notice that actually the dinette backrest are an arch.
So the bunk is composed of 4 parts. 2 are the bed rails side by side and 2 others are the risers. Let's look at the risers with orientation, width of the coach and length of the coach. So width left to right the risers actually have the same matching arch built in and on the length side there are 2 stoppers (the wood panel goes down 4 inches over the arches).
Now in picture 2 you will see by enlarging that the bed rail are attached to the risers with screw handles (you can see 2 in the picture) making this setup extremely solid.
