True but just wondering about major construction, like closing down one lane for 10 miles etc

Check the DOT websites in each state you will pass through for road construction information.

There are many more interesting road then 75/95/65/81.... !! there is nothing to see and lot of traffic "fitting" We stay off interstate and visit the country without battling traffic. Peaceful and interesting!!

True but looking for fast route , less hills, mountains, no surprises like low bridges, lots of truck stops , gas stations, .....this route is just to drive south to warm weather not too worried about interesting views ...... 50 feet long RV and car

Travel that route frequently....I'm from just north of detroit (sadly)!

Been travel that route since 1964.....one thing for sure.....that 75 route to Florida is ALWAYS UNDER CONSTRUCTION!!!

I usually just suck it up and do it...STILL THE FASTEST ROUTE!

Have a SAFE TRIP....THAT'S ALL THAT COUNTS!!!

Lots of heavy construction between Berea South to London Kentucky.

Its been a continouis process for many years south of Richmond.

But go for it if your mind is set.

I have seen some set for 4 hrs at Mount Vernon's two exits as major work is being done on the on and off ramps.

I have never driven from Toleda to Florida since 1970 that there was NOT MAJOR CONSTRUCTION BEING DONE.

They worked at the I 70 and I 75 intersection and South for 10
some years of and on.

And then there is Atlanta [emoji848]

And there you go....I'm not the only one!

Personally I've never had a problem in Atlanta, towing or not! I do however attempt to go through town...no bypasses...during NON RUSH HOUR!!!

You'll be fine!

I discovered last year that Sunday is a great day to drive through Atlanta. It was so much better that we're timing our departure this week (for FL) so that we will be going through Atlanta on Sunday. We stop overnight near Cartersville so we're about an hour getting to the city.
