Is the moral to your story you're safer in a cage, (aka: car)?
BTW I built and rode HD choppers for 40 years but that was before anyone knew about texting

re sharing an rv on a trip ?
"Guests, like fish, begin to smell after three days.Benjamin Franklin"

Even driving two rv's together is troubling as one has to stop 60 foot back at stops signs and follows at three blocks back so has a tendency to loose the lead rv too easily !!! you can't be watching out front and a follower too much

Buy them a good gps,
program it for them,
and say see ya there !

Traveling with others

I, too, like Big Willies' take on MIL. Last year wife and I took my mother on the road for her birthday. Being in a class B we stayed in motels. Her only complaint (completely legit) was the fact our windows were too small, and the curtains didn't help. She suggested a large mirror on the side she sat so she could at least see where she had been. That, and stock more snacks and junk food! One time we stopped to visit a site, and when my wife went back to the van to check up on her, both my mother and our dog were propped up, reading and snacking. We all got along great. Now I have a 1989 HR Imperial in the shop being set up, because I promised her larger windows for her next trip. Oh, the things we do for our mothers!
