Trimark paddle handle came off

I have a Trimark 13532-01 luggage/baggage door lock on my 05 Discovery, same as on many Winnebago coaches of same era. One day, the paddle handle just came off as I opened the bay door. I ordered some bushings and associated little metal "inserts", but I can't figure out how it goes together. One end of the little insert is fluted/knurled, and the other end is smooth. It looks to me like the knurled end is pressed into the plastic bushing which then mates up with a hole. One side is easy to get in, but then it appears that the side, the pin must be pushed in from UNDER the latch handle, almost impossible to do. Am I doing this right? To make matters worse, my new replacement parts look just like the parts that fell out when the handle fell out, so I am at a loss as to why the paddle fell off to begin with.
Any ideas would be appreciated. It does not appear that taking the entire 153532-01 apart would do any good (I am sure I could find many parts they didn't need if I tried that trick!).
I bet that other Trimark luggage door locks are built the same as this one, so if anyone has any experience with other models, please chime in.

Hey Bob. Do you have the information on you handle and where you got the replacement parts? I have a few handles doing the same thing and I didn't know you could put new bushings in them. I would be glad to take a look and see if I can figure it out.

Parts

I purchased the parts directly from Trimark, I just called and a very helpful lady found exactly what I needed. But, she had no info on how it goes together. Bad part is $10 surcharge for any order under $100. Parts themselves were very inexpensive.
I think I know how it goes back together but not sure. Very difficult to get the last bushing in if I am doing it right, still haven't succeeded.

Just replaced the entire assembly for one of the baggage doors on my 05 CC Allure. Got it from H E Mitchell | Locksmith Supplies Distributor. Cost about $50 including shipping. They were very helpful, matched the lock.
