Trip Computer

Does anyone know why the RV manufacturers don't install a trip computer as a standard feature or even offer as an option so that you can easily monitor your instant gas mileage, average gas mileage, gallons to empty, etc. like passenger cars have?

Workhorse chassis have an Actia IP that does all that and a lot more,.......... when you can read the LCD.

Have you considered using a Scan Gage to display the info you seek?

Most higher end models have monitoring and recording capabilities as well. It strictly a matter of what is included for the price paid.

You can also add the functions on fairly easily, e.g. a Trip Tek monitor or VMS/PC

I would say that it all boils down to economics.
