Trip to Providence RI

This is our first trip to this area. Route planed is I-95 From SC. Any suggestions on things or roads to avoid. Is there a problem with tunnels?
Thanks

I think you'll be sorry going 95 once you get to Va. very many tolls also. Went from Ma. to D.C. paid $151.00 for tolls round trip. That was a MH and Toad. We're heading to Disney World tomorow morning at 4am and going I 90 to I 84 to I 81 to I 77 to I 26 and picking up I 95 in S.C. . I would really avoid DC and NY at all cost.

Thanks for the quick reply. We plan to stop in DC and if we follow your route we would like to stop for a few days in the Newburg area.
Do you have a favorite camp ground in that area?

I agree with the I-81 and I-84 routing. That's the way we go (usually) when we drive From/To Mass.

There's an AWESOME bicycle path that goes from Bristol, Rhode Island right into Providence. I think it's about 16 miles long. We've stayed at Fisherman's State Park in southern Rhode Island, and were able to take the bikes over to Block Island via the ferry there also. Was really fun.
