Simple lady in the campground just went full time and like all of us at one time or another does not have much RV experience. She has a 2005 Georgetown gas.

Neither her jacks or slides work. She said they did in the past. I have determined that the jacks and the slides are hydraulic and look as it they are all operated by a single hydraulic pump underneath the coach.

She has an alternator and coach battery replaced which is incidental I think but I noticed that the positive cable from her coach batteries was not connected. My guess is that the shop that replaced the coach battery did it. I connected it but no joy. Tried the system with engine running, off, plugged in etc. The house batteries read a full charge.

I checked every fuse and breaker in the coach (unless there are those wonderful "hidden ones".

The motor that operates the hydraulic pump does not activate so my guess is that it is an electrical problem. Any thoughts before she calls an RV tech?

Make sure the parking brake is engaged And there's fluid in the reservoir

Unless she is in a hurry to leave would call Lippert for support. They are the manfacture of the system. The fuse to my understanding for the jack and slides is under the steps.

Last time mine did that it was a fuse in the bcc under the steps with the batteries. It also blew the resettable breaker, the red flag was out. It was caused by the jacks being extended to far while trying to level on a unleavened site.

Not only make sure the park brake is set but also that the brake light on the dash comes on.

I suspect that If they forgot to hook up the battery cable maybe there are other wires that they also didn't hook up. My slide pump has a separate wire going to the battery terminal.

97 Bounder 36S 460. Pulling as many quads as I can fit on the trailer or get started!

Jacks should operate with engine running but the brake being set is critical.

The slides will not operate if the key is in the ignition, period. How do I know? Been there, done that with our 2004 Georgetown (ours is a Workhorse and her 2005 would be a Ford, but I assume that the interlocks are the same).
