Tub/Shower drain replacement

My Tub/shower drain in my gasser MH is allowing water to seep onto the flooring under the tub and I need some suggestions on repair or replacement. It looks like I could cut the X out of the tub drain and caulk where it goes into the P trap and it appears that would solve the problem. It would also create a problem up the road if I ever need to replace that drain again. A RV repair company did the job that is causing the leak so I am not going with a "professional" again, at least not on this problem.
Thanks for your suggestions in advance.

Caulk is not the answer, especially from the inside of the drain. Do you have any way of accessing under the shower? Many motorhomes have a vent under the shower or an adjoining wall that be opened. Or an access hatch could be cut into an adjoining wall.
Having access below the shower floor will allow you see where the water is leaking.
