Better is a relative term. Diesel motorhomes are generally built on heavier chassis and therefor generally have more cargo capacity. Air suspensions, jake brakes, and diesel generators are also available that are not on gas coaches. Larger motorhomes may also need diesel power, especially for mountain/hill driving. There is little difference, however, in the living quarters of diesel vs. gas motorhomes and you will spend more time parked than moving. Your own needs and budget, in addition to the miles driven will determine your "best" choice.
