TV antenna sensor

I have a 2008 38ft Monaco Knight that has a sensor on the antenna arm that lets you know the antenna is down. About a week ago the light on the dash that lets you know your antenna is up stays on when I start the MH. I think the sensor is bad but I can not find where to get a new sensor. Does anyone know where to get a new one.
Thanks for the help.

Don't know about your rig but.. Old unit had a reed switch sensor and magnet for the steps. Magnet fell off so I found a new one to glue on and fix the problem. You might want to look at what you have and see if the is a plastic box or tube with a couple of wires coming out. If there is try running a magnet past it and see if the light shuts off. If it does check to see if there was one mounted on the arm lined up so it shut off the light when seated. Not hard to find something new to glue in place if that is the case.

It's usually just a micro-switch with an arm that sticks out far enough for the antenna frame to push it when down. It will be a normally open or normally closed type switch and should be available from many supply stores, e.g. radio shack.

Chances are the switch is fine and you just have a bent wire arm on the switch or maybe the mount bracket for the switch came loose. Or maybe a loose or corroded wire.

What brand of antenna is it? Braund 7 Concord usually have the switch, while Winegard's usually do not. Any brand could be equipped with one by the RV manufacturer, though.
