Who has replaced their Mini-state antenna, and what was it replaced with?

Your options are basically the Winegard Rayzar automatic or an omni directional antenna like the RoadStar. The Rayzar has some reliability problems reported but has the best reception. The omni directionals have no moving parts so would probably be more reliable with lower reception quality. I replaced the Mini Stat on my RED with a Rayzar and the reception was comparable. At least you can tell from the controller which way it is pointing which is something I could never figure out with the Mini State.
