American Wood Vents: Vent Covers, Wall Registers and Wood GrillsAmerican Wood Vents

You probably need some vent air to flow so just make a nice hole in the bottom for your hand to reach up there and cover with a beautiful color matched wood vent. I did this in our front cabinet and added a small fan held in place with Velcro. Just push up on the fan and it gets out of the way,. Pull it back over the vent hole and reinstall the vent cover.

This is an example of one of my last mounts I did on my previous Dynasty using the locking mount. This was a 26" TV install and BluRay DVD player. It gave me access to the cabinet beside even though the TV overlapped it.

Another tip.

Many of the TV's have a thick base on the bottom of the TV. In a center TV surface mount application, this can put the TV out from the cabinet an extra 2". I notched the cabinet so that the TV sat flush at the face per below.

I am the original poster returning with my doctor's report. After listening to my original delima and all your helpful replies, he did not recommend medication but did suggest I let someone else install the TV.
