Two gray and two black tanks? We have only one of each!

Ho all. We have a Itasca Meridian 37M MH. Our tank monitor has recently started showing Gray Tank 1 level and Gray Tank 2 level (always empty), and also the same for black tank. I know we have only one of each. I also realize that these monitors are made for various RVs that might have two of each tanks.
My question is how to reset (if there is one) so it shows one of each like it used to?

Regards

This is the second time in the last few weeks a Meridian owner has experienced the same problem. The other one was a 2013, 35G. Here's the response I posted to that discussion on RV.Net.

Winnebago uses the Precision Circuits "OnePlace" tank monitoring system on many different coaches. The same monitor panel is used for multiple and single tank installations. There is a set of terminals on the rear of the monitor screen used when there is more than one black or grey water tank. Apparently your monitor has the terminals connected even though you only have one grey and one black water tank.

Here's a link to the Precision Circuits manual.

http://www.precisioncircuitsinc.com/wp-c........300-One-Place-Monitor-Panel-Manual-A.pdf

On the bottom of the second page is a diagram showing the connections for multiple tanks.

If you don't have a manual, you can download one from this site:

Winnebago Product Information | Motorhome & RV Information

If the monitor panel is made by a third party, look up the manufacturer and see if they have a manual for your panel.

Thanks. Couple of more question. This has been working ok so far. Why suddenly change? Did i touch something? How can I correct it? should I just let it be?

I don't know if you triggered the issue or gremlins are involved. You might remove the panel, or gain access to the back of it and wiggle the two multi-plug connectors. You could also spray them with contact cleaner while you're at it.

Also, the PDF isn't clear about the type of switches for the water pump and levels. If they are membrane switches, (little blisters) on a flexible membrane, perhaps dust or dirt has gotten between the membrane and the contacts. Blowing out with a can of air might help. The alternative if the switches fail is to replace the panel.

Call Precision Circuits for your One Place system, they are a great help. Maybe verify with Winnebago that is the system you have.

When ours goes sideways I reset it.

Here's the procedure as outlined by another thread on RV.Net. I don't know if it works on all systems. I haven't tried it yet.

To Reset the Panel to Default
1. Press and hold all three buttons ["pump", "tank" and "battery"] for approximately 6 seconds, until the screen appears.
2. Press the Default Button (Water Pump)
3. Press the Exit Button (Battery Level).
4. The Panel will return to the Water Pump Display

I believe you have to do steps 2 and 3 right away or it doesn't really reset. So if this didn't work, it may not really be reset.

That's what I said...

http://www.irv2.com/forums/showthread.php?t=182876

Couldnt find the link earlier.

Precision Circuits said I might have had a low voltage situation that caused it for us. Our symptoms were 1/4 readings when we should have 1/3 readings. Stil happens every one and a while.

Thanks,
Apparently someone copied your post and used it for a similar thread on RV.Net. I copied the text into a Word document for possible future use. Then I came across this almost identical problem. I tried to search for the thread on RV.Net but couldn't find it so I just copied the text I saved into this thread.
