There is no separate inspection sticker in Texas anymore, if you have a valid registration sticker it means that the passing inspection is on file with the state. And, yes, trailers over 4500 lbs GVW are now required to pass inspection....makes it a real pain for us ranchers and farmers that have more trailers than we have tow vehicles
It appears that keeping inspections current is going to turn into an almost full time job.....out here in the "oil patch" there is usually a several hour wait to get ANYTHING done!
Not to mention the boneheads that insist that the coach HAS to have a commercial DOT inspection because it has air brakes....had to drive 120 miles to Lubbock to get it inspected last year
