Unknown Random Beep In Coach
I have a Holiday Rambler Diesel pusher. I get a beep in the coach that I cannot track down. It is random and beeps once loudly at random intervals. It seems to be from the fridge area except that it will beep even with the fridge off. In fact the other day all the power was off and the battery disconnect for both chassis and coach batteries were in the "disconnect" position....and the beep still occurred inside. Anyone got any thoughts on what it could be?

X2, check batteries in your detectors and be aware that these detectors have an best before date, and even with new batteries they can act up.

Well I am not sure if there is a battery in the propane detector or not....hmmm. The light goes out on it when the power is off so I assumed it was off. Something for me to check.
Funny though when the power is on and even plugged into shore power there is still the random beep occurring. I will pull the detector and bring it into the house to see if the "beep" comes with it...thanks and if that is the answer I will post back.

The LP should be 12V wired. CO or smoke detectors will be battery powered.

some detectors (could be propane, CO, smoke) also expire themselves requiring you to replace them after say 5 years, and will signal this with a beep of some sort.

I'm chasing something too. A short, low, whistle ring tone type of noise. At about 1 hour intervals. It seems to be coming from the large pass through bay of our 08 Endeavor. Started about 6 months ago.

Do you tow a car with a Patriot brake unit? Probably not your issue, but I had the same problem and would get an occasional beep that I couldn't locate. It turned out to be the remote unit from the Patriot would intermittently lose connection with the unit in the car and beep once. Even though the unit was on the dash, both the wife and I thought it was coming from the back somewhere.
Still does it, but at least we know what it is.
If that's not it, it's probably a smoke detector telling you its battery is low.

Do you have a digital clock mounted on one of your walls from the factory. We do and it beeps when the batteries get low. It was hard to find the first time...

Our CO detector's went bad (stamped mfg in 2005). The CO detector is cleverly hidden under the bedroom (tube) TV cabinet on the 42DSQ. It is wired around the shutoffs so they still draw power. I bought two but realized the other detector is LP (base of sink cabinet).

Thanks for the responses. I have also pulled the smoke detector and brought it into the house. We will see if the phantom beep has followed it in. I did not see anything else with batteries but if these are not it I will search further.

We had that in our RV when there was not enough power to the LP Detector. We were not hooked up to shore power and the batteries were drained down.
Have not had any trouble once we were hooked up to shore power. We did also replace the coach batteries after having them inspected.
