Unknown switch 2000 Tradewinds 7373

I Have not been able to figure out the function the low mounted switch between the burners and the side by side refrigerator freezer.

I* took off the vent panel and traced it down It interrupts the ground side of the burner, so if the*switch is on everything is normal,*if the switch is off when the thermostat calls for heat the fan runs but the burner never lights so it is like a fan only setting.* Not sure why I would want that.
