Cool Up and over tongue mt.

This passed week we spent in Lake George and up and over Lake Champlain. We left Lake George with the great idea of running 9N along the shores of Lake George, having never traveled the route it started out great 45 mph and enjoying the lake views not knowing shortly we would run into Tongue MT. We had a very slow climb dropping to 35 mph at times but made it, but down we went with CRV in tow dropping gears and a lot of braking and we where back to the lake front with very smelly and hot brakes. We pulled of at the lake overlook to cool!! off. Then we where back on are way not knowing storm damaged had the 9N blocked forcing us back over Tongue MT. all over again. One hour. later after cooling of at a pull off we where back on the Northway just one exit closer to Eusable State Park. Then we rested with a site right on the lake looking out at Burlington VT. The park had a tree take out all electric so no water no bath house but park Rangers refunded all campers there cash and life was good.

gas motor ; eng braking is not too great! Sometimes it is just real hard to overcome the power of physics.
