We r thinking of purchasing a Newmar coach. I would appreciate thoughts from Newmar owners on what to incorporate in the essentials and issues u have had. This would be an A gas Canyon Star with 3 slides. We have only had 5th wheel and travel trailers. Thanks.

Cletus - Welcome to the forum. While I can't offer any info on issues since my brand new Newmar Canyon Star is being built this week, I can state you won't go wrong with your choice. After running a Winnebago coach the last four years, when I was ready to move up, I naturally looked at the same brand since I had been trouble free. After a visit to Newmar in June and some research into pricing/value and construction between the two brands, I settled on the Newmar for my new coach. Think I made the right choice, good luck with yours.

Cletus - we have had our gas Mt. Aire for 10 years. We just rehabed it last fall with fullbody paint, new flooring and new window treatments. We bought this unit new as a retirement present to ourselves and have been very happy with it. We have spent Winters in Florida, Texas, Mexico and Arizona. We have also been to Alaska and are going again in 2010. We have been so happy with our Newmar that we have not been in a unit that we like better. We are sure you will like a Newmar also.
