US Gear Brake Control Installation

I a currently trying to install the control in the RV as my toad already was done previously. I have read the instructions, made phonecalls, but am still stumped. It says to connect to brake light switch. I can't seem to locate the switch. (1998 Gulf Stream - Spartan Chassis).
My question is: instead of the brake switch, can I tap into the tail light? BTW, I am waiting for Spartan to return my calls from yesterday.

Thanks, Bob

Hi Jarvis,
The brake light switch should be located on/around the service brake pedal. As to connecting the wire to the brake light wire, that should not be a problem. It is how my US Gear is connected.

Thanks for the info. I finally emailed Spartan's tech area and received a response within about 4 hrs. They explained exactly where to look and wire colors. Also send a spec sheet with colors, wire numbering, and what/where they belonged.
Again, thanks.
Bob
