This is the answer I received from HWH

Those jacks really have no value to us, when we supply remanufactured cylinders they generally are jacks that came back under warranty and we can no longer sell them as new, so we refurbish them and sell them.

If you have any other questions feel free to contact me.

Thank you
Joe Portelli

I'm surprised they weren't interested. If they had your size rebuilt jack in stock I would have thought they would have offered then to you. If not They had a perfect opportunity to get some from you for future use.

Maybe they don't make enough on rebuilts these days to justify paying for the cores. They're probably trying to minimize losses by rebuilding the ones they had to replace under warranty.

My take on this is this----when business is good why bother with rebuilding when you can sell new; only makes good business sence to maximize profit; when business is slow; a business will do more to make a profit, even its not the max they would like. ---its just business folks. my son is in business; business for him now is good, so he drops the low profit items; like I say----its only business folks.

I have a new rear jack for a 06 National Tradewinds I did not use as I rebuilt the old one. The seal kit was 40 bucks, lot cheaper than the $750 jack. They would not take the old jack back.
