I have my eye out for a 2008 Winnebago Tour. I saw ask asking prices ranging from 150k to 199k at the dealerships. Model 40TD. It is my guess I can buy one of these for 140k. But would a dealer asking 199k come down to 140k?

I do not have the NADA trade-in value.

We went to a local dealer yesterday to look at new and used MH's. All of the used models were bad!!! Every one of them either (5) smelled bad, carpet was nasty, furniture wore out and wood trimmed chipped or all of the above. Two of them was 2010 models.

I wonder if the dealer put them in with the new models to push the people to the new models.

I think you have to look at the complete deal. We recently traded our travel trailer and truck for a 2008 Holiday Rambler. The dealers asking price was about on par with other dealers for the same make and model. However they were very fair with the valuation of our trade, they put 6 new Michelin tires, 6 new batteries, 3 new slide toppers and fixed several items we found on inspection.

Could I have gotten a better deal, maybe but we are satisfied.
