Please keep any negotiations to PMs or other off-Forum venues. Thanks.

Suggest you contact a tire dealership that sells primarily to fleet trucks and over-the-road rig owners/operators. They sometimes allow $'s if you are purchasing new tires from them....they then recap the old tires and sell them as spares to the truckers. Dealer here allowed me $35 per tire for my old Michelin RV tires. Not all will do this, but it is worth calling around....

The market for used (recappable or regroovable) tires depends on the size. If it's a size that trucking firms use on their trailers, you can probably get some decent dollars. If its a size not often used, no dealer will be interested.

Talk to a commercial truck tire dealer (not your neighborhood tire store) about your size.

Take the tires down to your local truck stop and use your CB to solicit business or put out a sign in the parking lot. Might be able to get 30-50 bucks each if the are the size truckers use for their trailers

The used tires i have are 235/80x22.5 xrv...don't know if that is a size that truckers use or not. The 6 tires were mfg in 2005, have no cracks, good tread but my dealer had no interest.

I would look for local places that SELL used tires, and ask them if they want them. Shipping to a distant buyer will most likely cost more than they are worth.

Many states now require the new tire dealer to collect a disposal fee, so you may have already paid to dispose of them...
Good luck recouping any money, as that size is not common in the TRUCKING business, mostly just RVs.

I don't think you will find any truck dealer interested in that size.

Google used tires in your area. There's plenty of them in this economy.
