Nope. I believe you. Just sayin' it's the Internet. I understand your frustration but your attitude is not helping. The coach needs to get repaired and it's likely to take some time given the access difficulties an RV presents. I suspect your coach got transferred because the first dealer may not have had the service facilities to handle an RV. My guess is that they may have to put the mh on a lift, remove the front axle and drop the engine out through the bottom.

We haven't got that far...next Monday they will look at engine for 1st time..bear it mind that is day 13 in this ordeal and that doesn't include new engine or if transmission is shot...every dealer has said...diagnostic..diagnostic...diagnostic..

I went out today after driving from Knoxville to Greensboro and staying in a hotel overnight for the 2nd time and crawled under rig myself...without my cane and took pictures for my own diagnostic. It's pretty [moderator edit] clear. Need more "ranger candy" and gabapentin...[moderator edit] in pain. My wife couldn't climb under rig due to many illnesses from 1st Gulf War so I had no choice.

I mentioned us being homeless from our motorhome..in case someone else has doubt or mentions it..yes we are in Knoxville staying with my gracious mother-in-law until we can get that POS here to trade in for one we purchased..and dealer gave us until 28th. Our savings of 14k earnest money is holding new rig till then..so y'all I am pissed.

First dealer didn't have facilities but told Coach net he did so he could get $$.
2 days later he admitted his bay wasn't long enough not to mention he talked about pulling the whole front cap off front of rig.

The majority of ford car/small truck dealerships cannot handle a motorhome so not surprised in that scenario. Not saying they have handled this well. I think your chances of getting the coach by the end of the month are slim. Seems like you need to sit down with ford and get a realistic estimated completion date from them. It may slip but at least you'll have starting point to plan accordingly. I suggest a calm but firm stance with them. Ranting and raving will not get you a better result in my experience.

People, this is an emotionally frustrating situation for the OP. It's not helping - as well as against forum rules - to attack each other over the issue. From our Community Rules:

Some posts have been removed for breaking those rules.

How is it one careless match can start a forest fire but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?

Thank you, it needs to be kept clean.

I'm waiting to see the photos the OP took. At the mileage the motor had it wasn't even due for its first service. At this point unless Ford can show that the owner failed to do something I think they are stuck replacing the engine. I'd even be pushing Ford to pay for lodging but I doubt the OP would collect.

As far as the towing company towing without disconnecting the trans they are flat out stuck and are going to be paying for a new transmission. If that extends the repair time they will be paying for lodging as well.

[moderator edit] They are below.

I was in a school zone when this occurred guess I was pushing it too hard...thus is why my wife and I have chosen a diesel rig in the past few days instead of this POS.

Bear in mind a crippled guy (myself) took these "diagnostic" photos. Didn't cost Ford a dime...yet..
Connecting rod and part of piston were found by 1st tow truck guy who did things right..only one who was worth a [moderator edit] in this whole ordeal. Looks pretty plain and clear cut if you ask me.

I can sympathize with people's issues on this site and would not want to be stuck without the rollin' house. If you are consolidated into an RV with apparently no back-up options, one must realize that sooner or later, sooner in this case, issues will happen that causes you to motel it, drive to relatives or whatever.

The initial diatribe by the OP was a turn off for me though. NON-productive, hard to digest, and if that attitude is played out at a dealer, customer service will evaporate.

Good luck and hope the waiting period flies by.

This thread is closed. It appears everyone needs a cooling down period.
