V10 issues

I have a V10 6.8 2005, 32k miles. With 5 star tune.
I have noticed it is quite sluggish taking off until I get up to 60 then it runs fine. I can put my foot to the floor and i have a mild sputters/shudder getting up to speed. I have replaced gas filter and added 5 cans of Seafoam to a full tank. After driving 300 miles today didn't see any improvement. If I baby it and take off slow it doesn't seem to sputter/shutter as much.
Oil and transmission fluids have been replaced in the past 1000 miles, it has original plugs.
It's not a horrible issue, but something I want to get corrected.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

Check the Cops, sparkplug, fuel pressure, air filter. Use an obd2 scanner, see if there are any codes. Not all codes light the check engine light. Autozone and the like will scan for free.

If its shuddering it probably needs a coil or 2.

Are you setting any codes?? This should be the first stop to see if there may be issues that the PCM is seeing.

Buy an inexpensive ODBII bluetooth code reader and get the "Torque" app for your smartphone..

I went through this similar problem. Here are a couple of threads that might help.

Thank you for the replies, when we get back home I will head to Autozone for a scan, sounds like a coil issue, hopefully the scan will tell me which one, and I can get it replaced...again many thanks!

A simple code reader may not give you enough info to pinpoint a specific cylinder , assuming it is a misfire issue. If no P030- code, a scan at a shop can go in and locate historical misses by cylinder. Will save time and money in the long run.
